NextGen is not a training provider. Instead, we work with leading employers in the exciting fields of games, animation and VFX to develop qualifications, apprenticeships and courses. We then work with training providers – colleges up and down the country – to provide these cutting-edge qualifications and courses.

Our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Games, Animation and VFX Skills was developed in 2015 by NextGen with industry collaboration from world renowned employers including Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, Microsoft, Ubisoft Reflections, The Imaginarium, Blue Zoo, Framestore, Double Negative, Centroid and MPC.

The Extended Diploma, accredited by AIM Awards, equips students with the tools they need to start an exciting career in these bustling sectors. The course structure means that students learn a solid base of technical skills allied to practical teamwork, communication and iteration experience. Students can create and specialise in the things they enjoy, whilst also gaining skills and a deeper understanding of other aspects of the industry to aid career progression.

"I have full confidence in my work and have gained so much knowledge of the industry. NextGen have the teaching staff with years of experience and the skills to help students aspire to be who they want to be." Adam, Sunderland College
